My half of the art trade between me and ~Vixen-T-Fox Mine was the grand and beautifully shaded picture of my character Maeff Fiona.

Hers was a request for Saber as a rockstar. The original sketch is in my scraps, and leans much more towards my shoujo anthro style. The arm in it made me so mad, that after redoing it so many times, I gave up on the entire pic completely.

It wasn't just the arm... it was that the whole pic was done in portrait alignment and needed a landscape instead. This was because I wanted fit in a band and a panel with screaming fangirls.

Thankfully when I started over again, not only was there room for a full band, but for TWO whole panels of screaming fangirls (which by the way, I love the blue shades in the widescreen panels... so trippy and just like me to do ).

Thinking about the coloring, I am so glad I went with CG coloring. So much easier to mess with and to make it look gritty and hardcore, whereas the colored pencils would have made it look too soft. Secondly because I got to use the illumination program on my PSP7 to create the lighting for the stage, which amped up the picture several notches. On the coloring of the characters, I tried to not overdo them so they'd outshine Saber, but add enough variance to give each their own personality.

On characters, I started out with drummer and was so happy with him it kinda rolled on from there... I love the emo guitarist. He's really stinkin' handsome. Almost enough to give his own name and story. I used Three Days Grace as my reference for that guy. Looks kind of like Ash the Mongoose from the Sonic Archie series though.. Meh. :/

That's all I can think about to say about the picture at this point.

Yay for art trades with ! I'm sorry it took so long but I wanted it to turn out REALLY good for you. Tell me if I should've lightened up the atmosphere on the stage. It was orignally much brighter, but I made it darker to make it look like a night concert outdoors. So... yeah.

Now to think of a band name...
